Intensive migration processes have become an integral part of the global economy, the political and social life of people. Increased migration activity is due to humanitarian, economic, socio-political reasons. Migration causes aggravation of linguistic conflictogenicity and verbal aggression, the adverse effects of which cannot be resolved only by political or legal measures, and it leads to an increase in intolerance, xenophobia and migrantophobia. The formation of a new discipline – migration linguistics – leads to the discovery of new facets of the analysis of linguistic facts. One of the aspects that are in the focus of attention of researchers dealing with the problems of migration linguistics is the analysis and portrayal of social agents of migration discourse, the analysis of language tools representing the image of a migrant. The concept “Migrant Parents” analysed in the article has not been studied before, the corpus data are not available, and that is why the authors used the platform of a scientific electronic library as a base for material search. In addition, the Russian language corpus of the laboratory of corpus linguistics of the University of Leipzig, and the AntConc program are used. An analysis of the representation of the concept of “Migrant Parents” in the scientific and media discourses allows us to highlight semantic modules representing elements of the conceptual field “Migrant Parents”. Semantic modules represent semantic fragments reflecting different sides of the concept under study.
