The article deals with the training of managers, in particular, international managers. The author describes features of managers' meta-activities from the perspective of the methodological approaches introduced by the new value-semantic paradigm of the Federal State Educational Standards, in particular, interdisciplinary and meta-subject ones. The author considers the introduction of meta-subject structure of curricula on priority university activities and discusses the specifics of the meta-subject approach, modes of its implementation in the study of foreign languages in non-linguistic higher schools, defines “metacognitive awareness" as opening the way to innovative transformational activities.
