The present study investigates the effectiveness of pharmacotherapy in the case of comorbidity of affective and personality disorders. The total group of patients with a current depressive episode was divided into main subgroup (n=60) - with the presence of comorbid personality disorders and subgroup of comparison (n=60) - without comorbid personality disorders. As psychometric instruments scales SIGH-SAD, CGI-S, CGI-I and UKU were used. The presence of a comorbid personality disorder determined the greater severity of the current depressive episode, a slower reduction of the severity of the current depressive episode during therapy, the need for combination therapy and greater severity of side effects.
