Complications observed in patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) are associated primarily with a high frequency of thrombotic events (TC), which can be fatal. Given this, it seems important to assess changes in the hemostasis system in this category of patients. 6 patients with PNH were examined, in whom coagulation tests and indicators of natural anticoagulants were determined. All examined patients with PNH showed hypercoagulable changes in the hemostasis system due to high levels of factor VIII activity, D-dimer, and endogenous thrombin potential, along with low efficiency of the protein C anticoagulant system.
