Effective leader in the sphere of municipal administration

The authors reveal a summary of the study of the personality and professional activity of the leader in the sphere of public and municipal administration, taking into account the experience of Russian and foreign researchers. The authors defined the criteria and indicators of efficiency of the leader in the sphere of state and municipal management. 545 leaders of municipalities took part in the study. The leaders’ characteristics that determine the effectiveness of their professional activities were identified. The authors present a psychological portrait of the personality of an effective leader. Practical recommendations on psychological support of the professional activities of leaders in the sphere of public and municipal administration are given.
