Ecological and endogenic components in biorhythms regulation at depressive frustration: melatonin hypothesis

Free access

Comparison of results of researches in the field of melatonin regulation in depressions pathogenesis is made. Melatonin hypothesis of depressive frustration is considered as supplementing the traditional monoamines theories. Own research of endogenic depressions relapses is made on a material of 1058 pa-tients. The hierarchy of internal (endogenic) and external (ecological) mechanisms of the time organiza-tion is revealed at depression. Prospects of the further studying ecological, chronobiological and bio-chemical mechanisms of time regulation, including application melatoninergetic preparations in therapy of depressions are designated.
