Economic effectiveness of usage of a combine “Wintersteiger” adjusted by two-raw header for sunflower breeding nursery harvesting

We developed a two-row header for the breeding combine “Classic” by “Wintersteiger”. We calculated economic efficiency of its use compared to the existing technology of breeding plots harvesting. The calculations were carried out in accordance with the State Standard 53056-2008 and the methodology approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The initial data and the calculation of operating costs are given. We established that use of the new header significantly reduces manual labor and improves the productivity of the harvesting process.
