Economic and legal foundations of the modern welfare state

The article presents the author's vision of the economic and legal foundations of the modern social state in the form of a set of eight interrelated elements. The necessity of their refinement and improvement in modern conditions is substantiated - in the conditions of a tough geopolitical confrontation, unprecedented sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation, accompanied by a multitude of crisis situations and socio-economic problems. In this regard, the author’s proposal is of interest on the inclusion of the institution of volunteering in the modern concept of the social state, as one of the important elements of its economic and legal base.
