The article describes the theoretical and experimental model of forming a positive image of the profession among high school students. It is created within the idea of the career choices made by students as an issue of desired lifestyle (social status, life style, standard of living). The analysis assumes that the profession is presented in consciousness as subjective, emotionally charged images. The article specifies the use of personal constructs as a resource for the formation of a positive image of the profession among high school students and discusses the changes of the image of the profession in the semantic space as an indicator of changing attitudes to the profession. The article presents methodical complex of experimental work, which contains the description of the sequence (stages) and pedagogical tools (forms) necessary for the formation of a positive image of the profession among high school students. There was developed a diagnostic complex, which allows to measure the efficiency of the pedagogical support of the formation of a positive image of the profession among high school students. The article describes the implementation of the model of pedagogical support of the formation of a positive image of the profession, which allows students to purposefully organize career-oriented activities towards socially relevant professions.
