This article discusses the importance of humanistic pedagogy in the space of existentialism, the choice of a strategy for one’s development; analyzes the existing andexpressed in the scientific literature positions of scientists on the issue under study; studies devoted to the formation of the existential orientation of the personality are singled out. The main directions for the implementation of the ideas of existential pedagogy (sociocultural environment, meaning-creating activity, pedagogical support, etc.) are determined. The practical experience of work on the implementation of the ideas of existential pedagogy is presented.
