E-course as a means of forming language competence of students in learning Chinese

The article studies the influence of an e-course on the formation of language competence of students studying Chinese. The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the learning outcomes of students in three groups: the first group studied in a traditional format, the second group studied in a blended format (combining face-to-face classes with the use of an e-course), and the third group studied in a distance format (independently, with access to the e-course). The level of language competence was assessed based on the results of final tests for each lesson. The following parameters of language competence were tracked in the tests: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The obtained results proved the effectiveness of using the "天下 Chinese" e-course for developing language competence. Additionally, among the students, friendly interaction has been strengthened, flexibility in organizing the learning process has been ensured, and individual approach and online support from the course supervisor have been provided throughout the entire period of study.
