The article examines emotional intelligence as a personal characteristic influencing human resource management processes within organizations. The main components of emotional intelligence and their role in interpersonal interaction, conflict resolution, managerial decision-making, and corporate culture development are analyzed. The paper presents the results of an empirical study assessing emotional intelligence levels among students majoring in Human Resource Management, reflecting the degree of competence formation among future HR professionals.
