The article deals with the functioning of emotivity in Spanish migration discourse. The notions of “migration” and “migration discourse” are considered. Migration is defined as relocation outside the country. Migration discourse is one of the central concepts of migration linguistics. It is a branch that analyzes linguistic changes provoked by various aspects of migration. Migration discourse is interpreted as one of the types of social practice between participants of interaction, which finds its linguistic and extralinguistic expression, having the character of an ideological construct. There is description of emotivity as a functional-semantic category that has a generalized meaning of “expression of emotions”. Based on the material of the Spanish forum dedicated to migration issues, we analyze lexical units of emotivity by finding emosemes that are minimal units of the content plan, correlated with the emotions of the speaker and represented by a combination of the semantic attribute “emotion” and semantic concretizers. It is concluded that in Spanish migration discourse, the prototypical means of expressing the studied functional-semantic category are interjections, interjectional phraseological units, emotive causatives, emotive autocausatives, emotive causal verbs, adjectives and adverbs that have emosemes. Emotivity is manifested in the construction verb + adjectives / participles / nouns that have an emoseme in their semantic potential, the use of profanity and special symbols that replace it, emoticons, question marks and exclamation marks, and capital letters. Linguistic units, functioning in context, are capable of acquiring emotive semantics depending on the extralinguistic situation and the psycho-emotional state of the speaker.
