Empirical study of the structure of the motivational-value component of adult personal maturity (aged 35-45)

The article reflects the results of a theoretical and empirical study of the psychological features of the development of the motivational-value component of adult personal maturity. It is noted that the personal maturity of an individual is the key to his ability to self-development and achieve life goals, and the period of 35-45 years is perceived in society as the middle of life, the stage of achieving the maximum level of development of all personal qualities and at the same time as a point of new reference associated with the need to adapt to changing living conditions and leveling new psychological challenges. The motivational-value component of an individual’s personality plays a significant role in the effectiveness of overcoming these challenges. The author represents and substantiates its structure, including the level of development of motives for activity (work, training, communication) and self-development; a system of personal relationships and a system of values; the level of formation of a life perspective and the ability to independently find the meaning of one’s life (synergy); the level of development of the ability to self-regulate individual states, self-understanding and self-esteem. Additionally, the article outlines the stages of development of the motivational-value component of personal maturity, which include the self-evaluating stage, the self-aware stage, and the self-correcting stage. It also characterizes various groups of factors influencing this development.
