Бесплатный доступ

Melting process is always accompanied by energy costs and losses, and its efficiency is determined primarily by energy efficiency index. The paper presents the results of energy consumption study of melting process of basalt from the Yenkhor deposit in plasma three-phase serial reactor and production of basalt mineral fibers. The main advantages of basalt fiber are low cost, high heat resistance, low thermal conductivity and environmental safety. The study calculates energy costs and determines composition of system under thermodynamic equilibrium conditions. Calculation of specific energy costs was performed using the TERRA software package. The article also provides an analysis of the obtained data and their comparison and reflects main phase transformations in melt.
