The aesthetics of constructivism in the "new" costume

The article is devoted to the problem of identifying the main aesthetic ideas of Soviet constructivism in 20-30 years of the XX century on the material design of the "new" costume. Artists constructivists aim was to cover the rational design of all spheres of society, and the creation of "new" clothes they considered a priority. The constructivists were the first to create a suit for production - "clothing production", the ideas of which are actively developed in theatrical costume. Working in the theater Vs. Meyerholda and stone theater A. Tairov, artists actively implement creative plans in costume design and introduced innovations in design. Developing the arts not only design clothes, but also other things of the objective world, Russian constructivists were at the origin of birth of Soviet design and changed the aesthetic ideals of art of the XX century. Based on the analysis of the theory and practice of costume design for work ("clothing production") identified by the author as the basic principles of aesthetics "new" costume: the feasibility, rationality and utilitarianism. Formation of new aesthetic ideals in clothing was associated with arts and plastic searches constructivists and development of industrial production. The article touches upon the attitude of the artists of the avant-garde tradition and shows the influence of traditional folk art to design a "new" costume.
