Ethnic connotations in the structure of ethnic identity of Dagestan youth

The state of ethnic identity directly affects the formation of tolerant and intolerant attitudes in the mass consciousness and the stability and harmony of the further development of society depend on their severity. Therefore, within the framework of the study of ethnic identity, it is important to analyze ethnostereotypes, because their content has a noticeable impact on the formation of various types of ethnic identity and ethnic well-being in general. Empirical material shows the prevalence of positive autostereotypes in the public consciousness of Dagestan youth and this circumstance is one of the essential factors in the formation of interethnic tolerance and positive interethnic interaction in modern Dagestan society.
