In the article еhe ethnolinguistic approach to music education and choral music education is revealed on the example of the author’s technique. Innovative methods promote the expansion and addition of students’ knowledge about language as a code of folk culture, folk semantics, poetry and folklore language by “immersion” of students in the ethnopedagogical and ethnolinguistic environment, which will help the formation of ethnomusicology culture and the ethnomusicology competence of students.
