Ethnovocal pedagogy is considered to be the topical branch of contemporary science, closely connected to the folk singing culture and folklore. Nowadays it is necessary for the pedagogical community to realize the importance of such training for children and youth in general education and music schools, teaching children folk singing based on folklore, and forming ethno-pedagogical competence of music teachers as a central component of their professional competence. Ethnovocal pedagogy is defined as a generalized theoretical understanding of folk vocal tradition and scientific-methodological system of contemporary pedagogy, which is an arbitrary and synchronous process. The article points out the necessity of revealing the ways of using traditional vocal methods and techniques in modern pedagogical conditions, as well as patterns and means of reflecting and functioning of previous generations' pedagogic views and experience in the educational practice. The author’s method of “speech articulation and resonance of singing sound”, which contributes to improving the effectiveness of ethnovocal learning at different educational levels, is described.
