The development of the fictional concept “winter”

The aim of the research is to study the processes of transformation of the semantic structure of the fictional concept “winter” by means of analysis of text as a meaning-generating system where the new information of the concept is presented in the kind of the author’s associations. The basic country specific associations of winter are revealed in the result of the study. There are defined the basic directions of the winter theme (naturalistic, civic and patriotic, psychological), gaining the further development in the following periods.
