Julian the Apostate and creator god from the "Letters to the Jewish community"

In the “Letter to the Jewish Community” Julian the Apostate mentions the Creator God, inviting members of the Jewish community to pray to him for the health of the emperor. The article attempts to explain how Julian understood Yahweh of the Jewish religion within the framework of his interpretation of neo-Platonic theological concepts. The main issue is the possibility of an essential correlation between the god-ethnarch and the god Helios, interpreted by Julian as the demiurge of the sensible world. This case is considered in the article as one of the central aspects of the rational and theological adaptation Israel’s religious beliefs by Julian to the horizon of his own ideas about the religious ecumene.
