Considering the issue of the definition of the quantity of the components in the content of the multi-component terminological word-combination (based on the English sublanguage of the biotechnologies)

The article deals with the issue of defining the quantity of the components in the content of the multi-component terminological word-combination at the example of the English sublanguage of the biotechnologies. There are defined the concepts of “the term-composite” and “the multi-component terminological word-combination”. There are described the criteria, differentiating the term-composites and the multi-component terminological word-combinations. The author presents the classification of the ways of forming the terms-composites, having analyzed the structural composition of the components of the multi-component terminological word-combinations.
