On the question of the concept of accommodation facilities: diversity, stages and principles of development

The modern market for hotel services has been formed under the influence of a number of historical aspects, as well as using successful and effective models for the development of hotel chains. This hybrid scenario implied the use of traditional world approaches to the formation of hotel concepts as basic participants in the tourism market. However, in modern reality, a revision of this approach is necessary due to its low effectiveness at the stage of strategic development of business units. The strategic development of hotel enterprises, their ability to conceptually develop and introduce new forms of organizing the provision of qualitatively new models for the provision of hotel services, is the key to the successful functioning of the market, and therefore the development of the industry. The problems of forming and developing successful concepts for multifunctional hotel complexes are one of the topics that are discussed at conferences and forums and are the subject of active study. The relevance of this article lies in the fact that the existing template development concepts used by the majority of traditional hotel enterprises in Russia do not allow them to maintain the necessary competitive position; and also do not provide an additional multiplier effect in the context of the development of regional tourism. The authors of the article summarized the existing concepts of accommodation facilities, characterizing the most popular and effective ones, and paid special attention to the stages of developing the concept of an accommodation facility.
