On the literary biography of Afrikan Balburov

As part of a study on the creation of literary biographies of Buryat writers, the article reviews the creative activities of Afrikan Balburov - prose writer, journalist and publicist, folklore collector, translator and editor of a literary magazine, organizer of the literary process in Buryatia. The reputation of a writer is formed by his literary roles; and the problem of the correlation of these types of Balburov's literary activities is posed.
