On the issue of training translators at the present stage: domestic traditions and the challenges of education renewal (case study of aviation institute)

The article discusses the features of the translation profession in domestic practice at the present stage, taking into account the established tradition, its relevance and problems. The author's assessment of the relevance of different types of translation at the present stage is given in accordance with the classification of Komissarov. The problem of increasing the role of artificial intelligence in translation activities is considered. On the basis of the study, the authors assess the motivation of students in mastering the specialty of translation and their level of understanding of the problematic field of the future profession. Conclusions are drawn about the support of domestic translation studies and translation practice on the domestic tradition, presented in the works of outstanding masters of the translation profession, about the merits of which students should be given knowledge, starting from the 1st year of study at a university in the context of various academic disciplines. The priority of the English language for the training of specialists in the field of technical translation for the aerospace industry is reported.
