Legal nature of documental securities

The author of this article considered the legal nature of book-entry securities, the appearance of which is associated with the deprivation of the material carrier of ordinary documentary securities. The concept, attributes and approaches to determination of essence of book-entry securities are indicated. Modern problems of legal regulation of this institution have been identified. The positions of legists of relative legal nature of book-entry securities have been researched. The opinion of legal scholars on ways to solve problems related to the implementation and protection of violated rights in this area was studied.
