The imperative to enhance the professional readiness of employees within the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (FPS) is escalating year by year. Concurrently with the increasing complexity of professional and service-related tasks-amplified by the advancement of information technology infrastructure, which facilitates information exchange between criminal elements outside correctional facilities and individuals under surveillance in correctional institutions – there is a corresponding rise in the demands placed upon employees, their competencies, and their capacity to effectively manage and resolve stressful situations. It is crucial to highlight that these developments occur against the backdrop of intensifying new information processes within the sector, characterized by the exchange of substantial volumes of data among institutions of the penitentiary system (PS), as well as within the framework of interdepartmental collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and governmental bodies. Currently, in conjunction with societal and state evolution, the seamless progression of digital transformation in education is often contingent upon the establishment of new digital platforms and the modernization of existing information systems. Driven by technological advancements, new requirements are inevitably introduced for PS employees. At the same time, the psychological readiness of employees for these transformations and industry innovations should not be ignored.
