In the course of the study, the author identified a gap in legal regulation regarding the procedure for summoning witnesses (victims) for interrogation to the court of first instance, as well as the procedure for announcing their testimony, which, ultimately, may affect the objectivity of the proving process. Based on the work carried out, the author proposed measures aimed at improving the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
