Revisiting the content of educational problems and ways to overcome them among modern students

The study conducted by the author of the article made it possible to identify several groups of problems of modern students with whom they meet during their studies at the university and immediately after graduation, while particular attention is paid to the fact that the learning problems of students begin in the process of choosing a higher educational institution. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the rationale for the significance of distance learning in modern times and the problems faced by both educators and students during the spread of a new coronavirus infection. At the same time, the issue of Internet addiction among students, which has a negative impact on the educational process, is objectively addressed. Ways of minimizing educational problems as well as pedagogical support for learners as part of their solution are suggested. The pedagogical approach that demonstrates a subject through the experience of overcoming an open-ended problem found in the source material, called problem-oriented training, is analyzed. It outlines the benefits of problem-based learning for educators and students. In particular, the educational emphasis is shifted from the translation of ready-made knowledge to the creation of problematic situations, during the resolution of which students discover this knowledge and gain relevant experience.
