On the issue of individualization of education at the University of the Russian Emergencies Ministry

The article deals with the issues of individualization of teaching as a didactic principle and the direction of development of modern pedagogy. The definition of individual characteristics as a hierarchical system complex of mental processes, personal and social qualities of a person is given. It is noted that a special place in the individual characteristics of students is occupied by the character, whose structural elements are the Self-concept, The self-system complex of traits, and the Self-orientation. Recommendations for improving the pedagogical process and implementing the principle of individualization of training are offered.
