The category of linguistic discrimination in migration discourse

The authors focus on linguistic discrimination in migration discourse. The subject of the study is the identification of linguistic units that actualize linguistic discrimination in the context of migration discourse. The purpose of the work is to study the conceptual sphere of migration in the aspect of linguoconflictogenicity. The theoretical significance of the study lies in: a) disclosing the concept of linguistic discrimination in the context of migration discourse; b) demonstrating the use of the phenomenon of linguistic discrimination in various contexts; c) using this theory to expand the theoretical understanding of the impact of translation on the formation of stereotypes and biases towards migrants. Language discrimination is a serious social phenomenon that can have various manifestations and negative consequences for people, especially in the context of multilingual societies and migration processes. Language is not only a means of communication, but also a key element of a person’s cultural and social identity, and plays a key role in shaping worldviews, preserving and transmitting ideological concepts. It has been used and is being used as a means of ideological influence on people and ideological struggle.
