This article raises the problem of the fundamental meaning of the category of maturity from the standpoint of the system-subject approach of E. A. Sergienko. The article presents the degree of development of the problem and considers various points of view on the understanding of maturity in psychology, the main criteria of existing approaches are highlighted. The category of maturity in a theoretical article is considered as the basis of the integrativity and consistency of a person’s mental organization. The semantic content of the declared de nition is presented through the analysis of the correlation of subjective and personal characteristics. In the presented theoretical analysis of the stated problem, it is shown how the conceptual provisions of the system-subject approach proposed by E. A. Sergienko, allow to resolve contradictions in resolving the issue of the consistency of two non-disjunctive components of a person: personal and subjective; the content of the category of personality and the category of the subject is disclosed. A model of a person’s mental organization is also presented from the standpoint of a uni ed system “subject-personality”. In the presented analysis of the conceptual provisions of the system-subject approach to the problem of maturity, it is emphasized that psychological maturity is the result of conjugation and congruence of systems speci ed at all levels of mental organization. The hypothesis of procedural maturity is proposed along with the traditional understanding.
