The Chinese version of the questionnaire on the value-accessibility ratio in various life areas

The paper deals with the popular Russian Questionnaire on the Value-Accessibility Ratio in Various Life Areas developed by E.B. Fantalova and its Chinese version. The importance of this method for studying the motivational and value sphere of personality has encouraged Chinese psychologists to adapt the above-mentioned questionnaire for Chinese students. The research describes the contents of the questionnaire and reveals the indicators that can be obtained. The paper demonstrates its adaptation stages: the choice of stimulus materials relevant to cultural context; equivalent translation of the questionnaire into the Chinese language; a check of the Chinese version on construct validity, retest reliability, and internal consistency reliability. The author concludes that the Chinese-language questionnaire is a reliable and valid tool suitable for psychological assessment, correction, and scientific research.
