The educational space of universities is heterogeneous due to the different environments of its components. In the process of developing internationalization, the environment of universities is constantly changing, which affects all its levels: social, informational and academic. The problems of communication and adaptation of foreign students in universities are manifested not only at the language level, but also in the differences in the requirements for training and academic standards, as well as in information accessibility when choosing universities and intra-university logistics, in cultural, ethnic and ideological characteristics. In this paper, the authors propose a distinctive approach to overcoming communication barriers in the form of developing an innovative adaptation paradigm focusing on the problem of adaptation of foreign students to the multidimensional environments of educational organizations, taking into account their belonging to different cultural and worldview clusters. Such a multi-criteria analytical approach makes it possible to most accurately determine the gaps in intercultural barriers, identify and recommend the most effective tools for organizing intercultural interaction and soft adaptation technologies in educational organizations.
