Clinical case of prostate carcinosarcoma

Carcinosarcoma is a rare type of prostate cancer representing less than 1% of all prostate neoplasms. Carcinosarcoma of the prostate is a malignancy characterized by adenocarcinoma intimately admixed with sarcoma. This type of tumor is very aggressive and demonstrates poor prognosis for extended survival. In case of small amount of clinical cases, there is not generally accepted treatment tactics or recommendations (less than 150 cases are described). We described a case of carcinosarcoma of the prostate in а 67-year old man with identified morphologic and immunohistochemical findings.
