Cognitive prerequisites for interaction in the information environment among university students

The research discusses what cognitive characteristics of the actor can be considered as the cognitive strategies of interaction in the information environment. The empirical study involved three groups of indicators assessing the potential characteristics of the cognitive strategies of the actor: the structural characteristics of intelligence (according to R. Amthauer and R. Cattell), thinking styles and the assessment of the style of personal self-regulation. The factor analysis identified five main components that determined the cognitive characteristics of the actor of information interaction. In conclusion, the author considered two determinants of cognitive interaction strategies in the information environment: the strategy focused on a flexible approach to searching, selecting and testing data and the strategy focused on data processing based on the targeted and practical components.
