Cognitive analysis of causative verbs in the English and German languages (based on the verbs ‘let’ and ‘lassen’)

The article deals with the study of the causative verbs ‘let’ and ‘lassen’ from the perspective of the cognitive and pragmatic approach. There are considered such concepts as “causation”, “causative verbs”, “causativity” and “causality”. In the result of the analysis of the examples in the English and German languages there are revealed the dynamic and power models, reflecting the dynamics of the power of the causative verbs ‘let’ and ‘lassen’.
