The article presents the results of a special study of the combinatorics of the Buryat verbs of emotion and the syntactic expression of the valence of the emotional response stimulus. The purpose of the study is to reveal the patterns for verbs of emotion at the level of a complex sentence and their compatibility with the expanded forms of the Stimulus- event. To achieve this goal, we have solved the following tasks: observing the combinatorics of the main semantic types of emotive verbs based on corpus data, establishing the types of bipredicative constructions in which these verbs act as the main predicate, as well as the dependence of their combinatorics on semantic properties. We adhere to the concept according to which the Event, and not the Causator, acts as an emotion stimulus. In the course of the study, we have used methods of corpus analysis, linguistic observation, and description, methods of contextual and component analysis. The research allowed us to distinguish two types of incentives: event-based and informational. For groups of verbs of positive and nega-tive emotions, as well as fear, we have described a preferred range of bipredicative constructions that play the role of Stimulus-event. The preferred combinatorics is determined both by the semantic characteristics of the verb of emotion and by the constructions themselves. The statistics of the compatibility of verbs of emotion is presented in tabular form. The undertaken study will serve as an impetus both for further study of combinatorial properties in a wider range of emotive verbs, and for inclusion of surrogated forms of the Stimulus-name in the analysis.
