Communicative Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages in the Chinese Higher Education System: Implementation Features and Development Prospects

The article considers the features of the introduction of communicative methods of teaching foreign languages in the Chinese higher education system. Based on the analysis of theoretical approaches and pedagogical practice, it is shown how this technique adapts to the Chinese educational context, national traditions, the learning environment and the needs of students. The main difficulties faced by teachers in implementing the communicative methodology in Chinese universities are highlighted, and promising areas for its further development are outlined. The importance of integrating the communicative methodology with elements of the traditional approach to increase the effectiveness of foreign language education is emphasized. The conclusion is made about the expediency of using a dialectical model for the implementation of the considered methodology based on a combination of global pedagogical principles with local educational specifics.
