Interaction between teachers and students can be both a resource for the formation of mutual understanding and trust, and a block not only for relationships, but also for the formation of activity and orientation of the student for self-development. The problem has a considerable history of scientific study, nevertheless, the practice of the modern school even more reveals the unresolvedness of certain difficulties. The study involved 72 teachers and 402 students of comprehensive Moscow school. The main focus was directed to the following components of relations between teachers and children: a) the degree of satisfaction of students with how teachers treat them; b) characteristics of communicative professionally significant skills of teachers; c) features of emotional burnout of teachers as a professionally determined condition; d) the relationship between emotional burnout and the formation of communicative skills. The analysis of the results of the empirical study showed that the emotional component of communication skills is the basis of the characteristics of the attitude of teachers toward children. Emotional burnout of teachers can be considered as a consequence of the destructiveness of emotional aspects in relationships with others.
