The paper assesses the comorbidity among patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). It is shown that with age the number of patients with AF increases, but after 80 years there has been a sharp decline in the number of patients. Permanent form of arrhythmia is more common than other forms. The majority of patients with AF showed comorbid conditions, including hypertension, myocardial infarction, diabetes, respiratory disorders and abnormalities of urinary excretion. Cerebral circulation disorder and high NYHA functional class of chronic heart failure are often observed in patients with persistent AF.
