The development of ideas of competence-oriented learning is in the center of attention of practicing teachers. The basis of professional competence of chemistry teachers are chemical and methodological competencies. Competence is not directly measurable, so there is a question of developing tools for its evaluation. The author proposes to use for this purpose a set of measurement indicators, which are summarized using the structural assessment matrix.
