An integrated approach to the training of specialists in the field of contemporary music: based on the experience of the Paris Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance

The article reveals the process of education and upbringing of lovers of modern music and professional musicians – composers, performers, musicologists who possess a complex of knowledge and skills necessary for the creation, performance and comprehension of modern scores. An analysis of the introduction of students to modern music in conservatories in France has shown that at the diachronic level, a harmonious system of transition from one stage of education to another is revealed. At the synchronic level, interdisciplinary connections are effective, as well as the introduction of the acquired knowledge into performing practice, which contributes to a deep immersion in modern musical academic art. An integrated approach to teaching is implemented at all levels of music education and finds a vivid embodiment at the final stage at the Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance in the class of modern repertoire and composition. The constant participation of students in concerts of modern music, master classes, festivals contributes to the improvement of the level of skill. The experience of French teachers in the upbringing and education of modern musicians will be useful for the domestic system of music education, in which the mastery of modern music in the complex of knowledge and skills is not given special attention.
