The article studies the description of the conceptual, figurative, and evaluative components of the concept "nUudl/nomad migration," which occupies an important place in the worldview of the Kalmyks, determining the relevance of the undertaken research. The study material consists of data from lexicographical sources of the Kalmyk language. The research methods include lexical-semantic and linguocultural analysis of linguistic units that are part of the lexical-semantic field of the concept "nuudl/nomad migration." The analysis has shown that in the Kalmyk language consciousness, nomad migration is associated with the location of a nomadic camp and is connected to the idea of movement and stopping. The nominant of the concept is the noun nuudl. The concept has a field structure, where the core consists of designations such as nuudl (нуудл), buur (буур), buuts (бууц), bäärn (бээрн), zogsal (зогсал), orm (орм); their derivatives and collocations containing representatives of this concept form the close periphery; cultural texts associated with the nomad migration phenomena form its far periphery. The figurative element of the concept indicates a settled, one's own space intended for people of the same kinship and animals belonging to that kinship. The ritualization of the nomad migration process and settlement in a new place illustrates a high evaluation as a sacred space: strict adherence to established orders, sequences of actions, and rules of communication.
