Conceptualization of socialization definitions in the modern world

The author studies various approaches to socialization. Based on the theoretical analysis, the author came to the conclusion that socialization is the process of integrating and adapting innate and acquired behavioral characteristics to the sociocultural environment through the assimilation of current norms, values, role model, professional, personal and social realization. In addition, the directions of socialization were identified: the assimilation of social norms and rules of behavior, social roles and functions, the development of personal characteristics, the structuring and integration of acquired knowledge, properties and ways of behavior in accordance with the age-related tasks of entering society and adapting to it. Socialization functions and two groups of socialization agents were defined: macro-agents and micro-social groups. Possible outcomes of socialization were also identified: successful, negative and mixed. Prospects for further study of this problem were defined.
