Life world and its conceptualization in the subject space of cultural knowledge

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the problem of conceptualization of the life world in the subject space of cultural knowledge. Heuristic possibilities, ontological foundations and methodological consequences of the transit of the theoretical construct “life world” from E. Husserl’s transcendental phenomenology, A. Schutz’s interpretive sociology, and J. Habermas’s theory of communicative action are studied. An essential part of the article is also occupied by the analysis of the works of the Chinese researcher H. Yu and his European colleagues B. Waldenfels, P. Braun, E Stroker, N. Hilty, which analyze in detail the difficulties that arise when using the concept of the life world in cultural, sociological and anthropological studies. The result of the analysis is the conclusion about the undoubted difference between the culturological conceptualization of the life world from the philosophical and sociological ones, as well as the undoubted theoretical and heuristic effectiveness of using this concept in studies of cultural phenomena and processes, as well as in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies, the subject area of which includes cultural processes and phenomena.
