The concepts of nativism and nationalism as the correlation of the ethnic and national identity in the English media discourse

The article deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of functioning the concepts of NATIVISM and NATIONALISM as the expressers of the ethnic and national identity of the British and the American in the news items of the English media discourse. There are revealed the system and language and discursive characteristics of the concepts showing the differences in the realization of the identity by two ethnic groups.
