Concepts of Russian national character

The article is devoted to the cultural and philosophical understanding of the peculiarities of the mentality of the Russian people and the Russian national idea. As its basic beginnings of the Russian author emphasizes openness, compassion, unselfishness, lack of individualism and selfishness, the ability to perceive the world not through "I" and "we". Is the thought of F.M. Dostoevsky about a universal human the appointment of the Russian people, that to be Russian means to be a "brother of all people." Outstanding special closeness Russian people to the highest divine principle, which is embodied in the sacred idea of a collegiate fraternity. The author emphasizes that the reason tragical dramatic events of Russian history of the twentieth century, especially its last decades, has largely become a forgotten person of their millennial spiritual traditions, the blind worship of everything foreign. To overcome the national disaster it must first be a return to traditional Russian.
