Accompanist art in universities of Russia and China: a comparative analysis of approaches and methods

The teaching of accompanist art in China and Russia has been actively developing for no more than 200 years. Despite the fact that by historical standards this is a fairly young direction, it is actively developing and is becoming widespread at all levels of education. Gradually, in scientific and methodological literature, an understanding of the specifics of teaching the art of accompanist in comparison with the performing art of a virtuoso is coming, which required time and an understanding of the possibilities of one’s own methodology. The article presents the main methodological principles of teaching the art of accompanist in Russia and China, and also provides a comparative review of these educational training programs.
