The end of history. The end of utopia. The end of future?

Бесплатный доступ

Utopia as “a place that does not exist” inevitably accompanies the history of the human community, discovering an increasing number of discourses and acting as an integral constructive element of the future. At the same time, special attention is drawn to those contradictions that are found within the frame work of the interpretation of the term utopia itself, which results in the identifi cation of a multilevel asym metry contained within utopia. And this circumstance, in turn, allows us to raise questions about how utopia, as a historical phenomenon, fi nds a place for itself in the conditions of the end of history, the end of the future, and, perhaps, the end of itself. In this regard, the article analyzes and compares two possible vectors of the utopian narrative in order to indicate the likely scenarios for the future that they suggest.
